Video Genre response.

In the oldest film “Nosferatu” there were no words and all the acting was overly dramatic. This relates to its genre because back in 1922 that was the “new” good horror film. The plot was kind of confusing epically because there was no narration but basically it was about a lady hiding from Dracula. The camera angles were pretty up close and a lot of shadowing was used to add mystery it seemed like.
The second movie was a little newer so there was some dialog; the women stereotypically screamed a lot as she attempted to hide from a craze-armed man. Overly dramatic music was used to add to the suspense building in the plot and the dialog made her seem like she was scared for her life.

The third movie was “the conjuring” which was a very new movie. It incorporated realistic scenarios and tied them into a horror plot to add fear. Music added to the emotional parts of the film. Symbolism is also used because most of the movie takes place in a house, which represents comfort and safety, except it’s the opposite. The dialog was also very realistic unlike the earlier films where everything was over dramatic.
