"Shitty First Drafts"- Summary

For me this article was interesting because it showed that contrary to common believe a first draft that is subpar can be ok. Lamott says that sometimes the first draft is a good place to collect your thoughts and really figure out what direction you want to take with your writing. This being said I’m pleased to say I already did this to some extent, its always tricky for me to write the full-length requirement on the first draft. This article more than anything is reassuring that first drafts are indeed rough.
